The Estância São João Farm is located in the municipality of Campestre, MG. The plantation covers approximately 16 hectares of 100% Arabica coffee, at altitudes ranging from 1,040 to 1,150 meters, with varieties Catuaí, Catucaí, and Bourbon (red and yellow), combining excellent climatic and geographical conditions that enable the production of specialty coffees.
It all began in 1990 with the dream of the pioneer of this journey, my beloved and late father. Facing the challenges of coffee cultivation, we learned with dedication, hard work, study, and patience. Along the way, we discovered the potential of each plot, incorporating new techniques for sustainable and traceable pre- and post-harvest management with the valuable help of our small team.
We improved our care, but kept the good and old teachings, combined with new techniques for analysis and grading of our coffees. Our harvest is 70% manually done, and our coffees repay the care by offering us specialty coffees with flavors ranging from sweet with notes of caramel, hazelnut, chocolate with a silky texture, to notes of yellow fruits, without neglecting the intensity of citrus acidity.
The name of our farm was chosen by the family patriarch in honor of his birthday, June 24th, which is also the feast day of Saint John the Baptist. It is with joy that we plant and care for each coffee tree!
